FAQs

Do you work with kids?

I don’t have specialized training and education to work with children, but I can refer these potential clients to other professionals.

I do work with adults 18+, from young adults to seniors.

Do you offer in person sessions, telehealth, or both?

I am pleased to offer both in person and telehealth sessions.

You are welcome to choose what’s best for you.

Some people prefer one over the other exclusively, while others appreciate having the option to choose, depending on their needs that day.

What does it mean that you’ll be an Out of Network Provider (ONP) for all insurances?

Starting in January, 2026 I will be an Out of Network Provider (ONP).

This means that my financial agreement will be directly with clients, instead of through insurance companies. Clients will pay directly for services at the time of session, and I will not submit traditional insurance claims.

Being an Out of Network provider will allow me to spend my professional time and energy on direct client care.

A primary reason clients select an ONP is they want to choose their provider without being limited to their insurance company’s offerings. Another benefit of going Out of Network is that you can enjoy greater privacy and confidentiality of your therapy session records. Moreover, if you don’t have a mental health diagnosis, therapy is not considered “medically necessary,” and is not a covered service.

Some people can receive at least partial reimbursement when they use an Out of Network provider. This is possible when you have a mental health diagnosis, you feel comfortable with a diagnosis being disclosed, and you have confirmed that your insurance company plan DOES offer Out of Network benefits.

To request your insurance company provide your Out of Network benefits, you can pay Dr. Bullard up-front and ask for Superbill (a medical receipt) or Courtesy Claim. Your company can then reimburse you a portion (based on your OON benefits) by sending you a check.
